That light is what makes your UV-curable inks snap into place and harden instantly. The balance of power and heat At 80W/cm, you’re getting a concentrated punch of energy. It’s enough to cure thin-film inks fast, which means your line moves quicker. You don’t need a massive, overpriced array of lights to get the job done. But there’s a catch: all that power creates a lot of heat. You’ve got to make sure your cooling—whether you’re using air or water jackets—can actually keep up. If the cooling slips, the quartz glass gets stressed. And once that happens? Your lamp burns out way sooner than it should. Built for the real world We use high-purity quartz glass for the envelope because it lets the UV spectrum slide through without getting blocked. Inside, the mercury is calibrated to keep the arc steady and reliable. We also made these “drop-in” replacements. We kept the dimensions standard so you can just swap them into your current fixtures. No need to tear apart your frames or rebuild your setup. One quick tip: be careful when you handle them. Even a few fingerprints or skin oils on the glass can create “hot spots.” Those little spots lead to premature failure, so keep them clean.
