UV curing is all about power density. We don’t pick wattage and voltage from a generic catalog—we match them to your exact process window. Here’s a practical example: a 400V supply can push high output through a compact tube, like a 300mm length. That gives you intense irradiance without taking up a ton of space. But high power in a short package means the lamp runs hot—and that’s intentional. It concentrates energy right where you need it. So you have to plan for the heat. If your fixture can’t handle it, the lamp will drive your line temperature up, and repeatability goes out the window.
Material and Connector Design: Built to Take the Heat
We use halogen-based UV sources inside quartz envelopes. Quartz handles thermal shock well and keeps output stable, even when you’re turning the lamp on and off again and again. The coating isn’t just for looks. It shapes the spectral output so it hits your resin’s sweet spot—curing faster while wasting less energy. For termination, we use R7s and SK15 connectors. They lock in fast, hold up to vibration, and keep resistance low. That means fewer hot spots at the joints—and fewer headaches from maintenance downtime.
Applications and Field Performance
Out on the floor, this setup is a drop-in workhorse for plastics, coatings, and adhesives. The high heat density gives you fast, uniform curing. But it also asks for respect—from the electrical design and from the thermal side. Size the power supply right. Wire it clean. Give the lamp room to breathe. That trade-off is the price of control.
